Design

Graphic design for every purpose; including print, web, social media, and large displays.

University of Minnesota Lind Hall Diversity Wall

With the renovations to Lind Hall, the University of
Minnesota wanted to create a feature that showcases
women and people of marginalized communities and their importance in the computer sciences. The wall consists of three large murals with life-like cutouts of prominent people and important quotes, as well as shelves of interesting artifacts. A QR code leads the viewer to a website where they can learn more about each individual photo. Each section of the mural travels through a different period in time, guiding the viewer through the lesser-known history of computer science.

Portraits From The Heart Website

A website design for Portraits from the Heart. Their current branding of a classic, family-friendly photography studio was kept the same, but I gave the site a visual uplift while also making it easy to navigate. The historic building that the studio is located in is a large part of the brand’s identity and major attraction to new clients.

Project / 03
Northshore Kettle Company Illustration

This was a custom illustration project for a food truck and trailer. This truck works with several local restaurants to provide a variety of cuisines to Minnesota events.  The main goal was to create a vehicle wrap that showcases both the local and variety aspects of the food provided.  The chalkboard on the trailer can be easily switched out to display different menus with each restaurant collaboration. The hand-drawn vectors can be rearranged and re-colored to create new patterns that still fit with the original design.

Blaine Bengals Hockey Program

This design and layout of a 44-page booklet was created for Blaine High School’s annual boy’s hockey program. It includes rosters, schedules, statistics, team photos, thank you letters, and sponsored ads. The goal was to create an attractive-yet-functional booklet that would be kept as a keepsake for the players, while still keeping printing costs affordable.

Whiskey Inferno Menus

The restaurant owners wanted the menu design to have a similar feel to their other restaurants, but still have it's own unique image. The final menus were printed on a rustic parchment-style paper and bound with rivets into leather and cork menu covers. The end product was a really nice mix of rustic and modern aesthetics, mimicking old-fashioned newsprint. The project included breakfast, lunch, dinner, social hour, and beverage menus.

Agave Mexican Restaurant Logo & Menu

Logo, branding, and menu design for a new Mexican restaurant. The logo is warm and inviting with the use of oranges and yellows to compliment the green of the agave plant. Bright colors commonly associated with Mexican fare are used throughout without becoming overwhelming. I also incorporated fun patterns to make a modern menu that also nods at the traditional Mexican aesthetic.
